Early bird gets the worm?

Did you know, that the bank is not open at 9am? On a weekday?

I went to the Commonwealth Bank branch on Mary Street this morning to pay a bill, but it was shut. The sign read "Opening Hours 9.30am-4.30pm"

I sms-ed the only person who would appreciate my flabbergasted reaction, Mum. The bank is not open at 9am. It opens at 9.30!

To which she replied: You've lived there for 2 years and you don't know?

I've never had to go to the bank before to pay a bill. Usually I just go to Australia Post. Weird. Now I have to leave the office early today to go to the bank. Fun...
